The Training & Placement Cell of the Institute is responsible for conducting training of the undergraduate and postgraduate students in order to make them comfortable in the recruitment process of various organizations and to provide world class job opportunities in a range of private and public sector organizations. The Placement Cell also arranges pre-placement orientation for the students prior to formal campus interviews from senior executives of major industries. G. M. Vedak Institute of Technology conducts extensive on-campus recruitment programmes, workshops, seminars and individual career and job search assistance.
Industrial Tour: G. M. Vedak Institute of Technology organizes Industrial tours to give students a feel of actual work culture. Students of all disciplines are trained in various software tools used by the industries.
Group Discussion: Nowadays group discussion is being extensively used along with personal interviews for the final selection of candidates. It plays the main role in selecting the best among the best.
Personal Interview: Guiding the students for the right path is our main focus. We at G. M. Vedak Institute Of Technology place special attention on Mock Interviews and related exercises in order to provide the competitive edge to the talent pool so that they can come up with flying colours during the interview
Scope and Objectives
The purpose of the Training and Placement is to give the students right knowledge, skill and aptitude and meet the manpower requirements of the industry. The Training and Placement Function at GMVIT is facilitated by Central Training and Placement Officer as head and the Departmental Training and Placement Officers as coordinators.
Training and Placement cell encompasses three main activities: Training, Education, and Development.
1) Training: Keeping in view the current trends and technologies being used by the industries, the training curriculum is designed for preparing the students as entry level Graduate Engineer Trainees.
2) Education: Appropriate skills for the job profile are acquired by the students during the classroom sessions on Aptitude and Conceptual training.
3) Development: This activity focuses upon the personality development to make the students reliable, with positive attitude and right decision making.
The industry is always on the lookout for students who are vibrant, energetic individuals and ready to accept challenges, attentive, a good academic background, fast learners, open to learning even at work and more importantly, good communication skills.
The institute is facilitating the aspiring students to excel in CAT, GATE, GRE, TOFEL, MPSC, UPSC and similar competitive examinations. Thus, institution provides training program to students to improve their knowledge of Quantitative, Verbal and Analytical Ability, Communication Skills, etc.
